PROJECT BACKGROUND

Groundwork Oldham & Rochdale deliver the SFA (Skills Funding Agency) funded Employability Skills Programme, part of the flagship Integrated Employment and Skills pilot in Greater Manchester.

DELIVERY

Sessions are delivered from bases in Oldham (Higginshaw & Central), Rochdale (Balderstones, Middleton, Central) and Bury (Radcliffe).

• accredited qualifications from Entry Level 1 to full Level 2
• literacy, numeracy, employability and ESOL  qualifications
• all teaching in context of getting a job
• work placements & practical help with job search
• 1-2 days flexible involvement per week
• 15 week programme

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible customers must live in Oldham or Rochdale, and be a Jobcentre Plus customer. This includes customers on Flexible New Deal, Future Jobs Fund, ESF, ESA (Pathways) etc.

 RESULTS

From August 2009 to July 2010 we achieved:

108 literacy qualifications

109 numeracy qualifications

24 ESOL qualifications

43 Employability qualifications

108 job outcomes
